As soon as news spread on the resignation of Tun Dr Mahathir last Febuary, Malaysia had stepped into a landmine, in the middle of a virus attack where the whole world was affected. But the politicians at that time seemed not to care or take any action on that issues at all. They are more interested in serving their own political interest.
Malaysia was without any government for a week and the country is taken care by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia to fight the virus that had started to invade the country. News all over Malaysia are battling on who gets the first scoop of the never before happened event, both the political as well as the safety of the country.
Just a month ago, our Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had announced that there will be a snap election by March 2021. However, that matter had not yet being confirmed. This had then caused many wild speculations as well as prediction. The society who opposed the new government for their 'rights' as this current government is not the government that they choose during the 14th General Election.
"The backdoor government" is what they called the new government today. The more reason why the snap election is no longer an option, it is a must. It is the best solution to solve the political conflict that is currently happening in Malaysia.
Nonetheless, there are some predictions speculated that the new government will win based on the decreasing support by the people due to the resignation of Tun Dr Mahathir last Febuary. His popularity and relevance had been declining one after another and will soon fail the country if he continues to use the same formula in order to gain power. He do not care about the people, he just wants more power.
The fall of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government last March was replaced by the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government led by Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. At the same time, the COVID-19 pandemic has hit Malaysia and is widespread by the tabligh cluster which has been fully handled by Perikatan Nasional.
A lecturer of mine who was also a Political Analyst said that at this moment, the people are fed up with the conflicts in politics, especially those regarding Tun Mahathir and Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Due to that, the people are willing to shift their trust from PH to PN.
The people are panicking, they are losing jobs, their income source, their freedom but all the previous government care about is power. While PH were fighting amongst themselves, PN strikes into action and provide assistance by introducing the Economic Stimulus Package, BSH, one-off cash payment, moratorium, SME care package for traders and many more. No one is left behind. Even the illegal migrants get their free COVID testing, which cost about RM400 each. They are also trying to control the spread of the COVID-19 from spreading further by implementing the Movement Control Order (MCO) in stages.
Seeing how much the new government now is doing for their people, it is best to say that they had now gain the trust of the people. Due to their diligence and detailed plan to fight against the COVID-19 as well as easing the burden the Malaysians are facing, Malaysia is now the Top 10 countries in the world that is doing well and is recovering from the deadly pandemic with an astounding 93.8% of recovery rate.
That is a huge success from the collaboration among the government, Ministry of health, military and the people's cooperation. Without any interference by the previous government. That is why I think that PH will not win in the next election. Why? Because our country is safe and prosper without them.
Malaysia don't need them. We need someone who cares for us. Someone who is not power-hungry for 40 years or deluded by their so-called 'idealism' that can never be achieve. Someone like Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Dato' Seri Dr. Noor Hisham, Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri and not to forget our Yang di-Pertuan Agong and public figures like Ebit Lew who helped lead and maintained the country that is struggling against the outbreak.
