Summary: Business starts operating on 10 June



Since the beginning of MCO, any non-essential businesses were closed, including the barbershop. However, due to the decreasing rate of new cases of Covid-19 and the ending CMCO, barber shops, hairdressing and beauty salons can start operating in 10 June, provided that citizens are abiding the standard operating procedures (SOP). Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Ismail Sabri Yaakob said this services contributed RM13.5 billion a year to the country’s Gross Domemstic Product (GDP). However, any individuals who are at risk (elderly) are advised to stay at home. Children should be under parents supervision with protective equipment.
